Hi, I have been exploring the world of photography for many years. From experimenting with film and vintage lenses (a current love), to practising photography in the mountains, beaches and cities. So I thought as this website has now launched, it is the perfect time for you to get to know me.

I first got into photography with the Pentax KS-1, a white, funky and interesting camera. The reason for this is the history of Pentax (and somewhat loving the idea of supporting the underdog in the photography world). This is where my obsession began. I grew up just outside of London and spent quite a lot of time exploring the city and surrounding areas. I would spend weekends driving to Snowdonia and sleeping in my car just to be able to see the world from the perspective of photography, and started trawling through YouTube, with some of my favourite photographers and inspiration being Thomas Heaton and James Popsys. Anyway, my photography was pretty awful! As you might expect. However, as it improved, so did the want for something new, bigger, better, and you couldn't get much bigger than the Pentax K1.

Shortly after getting this, my girlfriend (wife now) decided to move to Manchester. Completely unprepared, and unplanned, we loaded a boot full of things and left. What an adventure it was! Manchester was an interesting city to photograph, and it was close to Wales so I could go whenever I wanted, or so I thought. Time flew by and I practised and practised, but with every other photographer changing to mirrorless, I felt like I was missing out and switched to Sony, with the Sony a7r ii. It was an incredible camera and this is where I started practising with events. I photographers my first parties, pet portraits and occasionally families. While now it seems like a lifetime ago, I had no idea where it would lead. Unfortunately, photographers burnout occured. There were ample opportunities to shoot but it was difficult, and I just didn't enjoy using the camera. However, with another relocation to North Wales, came new photohraphic opportunities.

I had to downsize in order to move, but then spent some time with Fujifilm, having bought the Xs-10. It was a fun camera and I had a great time learning how to use it. It was smaller, more compact and we were closer to the beautiful beaches and scenery that North Wales offered (when it was dry.....). With that, I regained my passion and continued experimenting with different forms including portraits, landscapes and then I found my new photography love, Panasonic Lumix. I sold my equipment (again) and bought the Lumix S1R. My laptop cried whenever I wanted to edit the photo's but I started to shoot weddings, corporate events and portraits on top of a growing interest in street photography, which started since Manchester. It was also a chunky camera! But in my opinion, an absolute delight to use.

This leads me up to where we are now, Cardiff. I started studying at University, and my now wife and I had an opportunity to move to South Wales, although we had to sell everything that was not bolted down! Including my camera, but I kept one of my lenses just in case. The 'just in case' came shortly after we settled and I am now the proud owner of a Panasonic Lumix S1. Now also seems like the right time to pursue photography as a business. Having started YouTube myself (although not as good as Thomas Heaton or James Popsys), it is a new challenge, as is the potential of running a business providing a photography service to those in South Wales.

By now, you may be aware that I have experience in a wide variety of fields, meaning I can adjust to the look and feel you may be interested in. From fun and informal events, weddings with photos of memories that last a lifetime to corporate events for social media coverage. I also take you with me along some of my personal photohraphy journeys on YouTube, so do consider giving me a follow, and look forward to the future!

I will also discuss gear reviews of new and older equipment, offer tips and advice, and take you on the journey with me on this blog. If this sounds interesting to you, do consider subscribing to my email to keep up to date with future posts.

Thank you for reading.
